Welcome to VPC !

Our passion is God’s love, revealed to us in the person of Jesus Christ. We believe that in Jesus Christ, God’s love moved “into our neighborhood” to bring hope and power to heal and transform our lives. “We love because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19).

Centered on Jesus Christ, we believe that God can be encountered and worshiped in all we do: how we work, live, play and serve. We are not “there” yet! We humbly share in all kinds of struggles and questions of life. In the midst of our struggles Jesus Christ speaks words of hope and healing into our lives. We rely on God’s Spirit to guide us and teach us how to live in grace, wholeness and truth.

Our spirituality, like Jesus, is hands-on and down-to-earth. We want to discover God’s presence; not just on Sundays, but in the Monday through Saturday world, also. And we too are “into our neighborhood”! Our location in the middle of Vashon town reflects our strong sense of calling to love the people and neighborhood of Vashon through our ministries of care and hospitality.

I invite you to worship with us Sundays at 10:00 AM, and to prayerfully consider making VPC your church home. You will have opportunities to be challenged and nurtured in faith, and to share your gifts in service. We welcome you!
